Some years ago a group of Women in our Church started sewing and knitting hats for the Children’s Hospital of Penn State. Then the Lord led us to making scarves and hats for cancer patients and dresses for young girls in Afghanistan. We continue to make hats, over 5,000 to date, plus a variety of other items as we are made aware of needs.
You don’t have to sew, or have a sewing machine, or be a member of our Church to join our group. We need people to sew, measure and cut material, pin on patterns, and a variety of other tasks. Everyone is welcome.
We meet in the Church basement the second and the fourth Wednesday every month from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Everyone packs their own lunch. If you have a sewing machine, bring it along. The Church provides scissors, thread, material, plus all miscellaneous supplies. Enter the Church by going down the ramp at the back of the church.
